On the afternoon of December 19, 2025, the event "Young at Dongzhi, Sharing Dumplings with Friends", jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC LZPU Committee, the LZPU Communist Youth League Committee, and the School of International Education, was held in the Ingenuity Hall. Nearly 300 faculty members and students from the university gathered together to celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival.

The event opened with a Brief Lecture on the Origins of Dongzhi, during which the host vividly introduced the historical background and folk customs associated with the Winter Solstice, setting a rich cultural tone for the entire event. The subsequent dumpling-making session brought the atmosphere to a peak. Faculty and students sat together, kneading dough, rolling wrappers, and filling dumplings, experiencing the unique charm of traditional Chinese food culture through cooperation and interaction. Each dumpling, in its varied shapes, carried not only the warmth of the festival but also sincere friendship and mutual understanding. To enhance the fun and engagement of the event, three interactive games were carefully arranged. Laughter filled the hall during the fast-paced "Drumbeat Dumpling Pass", concentration was required in the skill-testing "Scooping the Moon from the Sea", and the teamwork-focused "Message Relay" fully demonstrated participants' cooperative spirit. The cultural performance segment was equally vibrant, as faculty and students enjoyed singing and dancing performances, shared the fruits of their collective efforts, and exchanged stories of hometown customs, drawing closer to one another in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Centered on the traditional Winter Solstice solar term, the event enabled participants to deepen their understanding of traditional culture through hands-on activities and interpersonal interaction. Looking ahead, the Ingenuity Academy will continue to use traditional festivals as opportunities to further develop its "Ingenuity · Understanding the Seasons" cultural brand, introducing more campus cultural activities with rich content and innovative formats, and providing a platform for faculty and students to appreciate tradition and strengthen mutual connections.
